ABOUT

Growing up in a Chinese American household, I was always reminded of the central place that food had in my family. In fact, one of my favorite traditional meals was "dim sum," which I later learned was named as such to describe how these small dishes were to bring a smile to people's faces and touch their heart.

While food was always on my mind (considering that I wrote my . college essay about dumpling making), it was not until I took recreational classes at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in 2018 that I discovered how baking was both an art and science.

Inspired by local chefs and friends alike, I hope that this project can help others see how food can be a way to build relationships, discover confidence and competency, as well as feed tummies and minds.
